Andrada Neagu was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1988 and was welcomed to the beautiful shores of New Zealand at the age of 12. Having spent the last 16 years of her life in Aotearoa she calls herself a Kiwi with the utmost pride.
She graduated from Westlake Girls High School at the age of 18 and she began studying a conjoint Bachelor of Law and Arts when she was offered an opportunity to work for the prestigious Sovereign Insurance.
She became committed to helping kiwis protect their livelihoods and being there for them in their time of need . She has continued to work diligently over the next ten years building on her experience and knowledge of the industry to become a respected member of the organisation.
Andrada's love of dancing began at the age of 6 when her mother signed her up for Latin Dance Sport (Ballroom) in Romania and she began to compete in Samba, ChaChaCha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive and Rock'n'Roll.
Throughout her life Andrada has gravitated towards the Arts and sought to grow as an artist by studying with the Performing Arts School of New Zealand for 6 years and landing several roles in television series such as Shortland Street to movies like Hercules, Treasure Island and performing in multiple stage shows.
Her love of dancing was shared equally by Andrada's older brother George Constantinescu whom she admires deeply having been NZ Ceroc Champion 4 years consecutively. He took her under his wing and helped her grow and explore the world of Ceroc and built her confidence by competing together.
Alberto JuárezGrifaldo (Neo) born in Cancun, Mexico made his World Latin Dance Cup debut in Auckland in 2016.
A dedicated father of two young boys Carlos and Neo he has been living and working in Auckland as a builder for the last six years. Having graduated from the University of Mexico Valley (UVM) with a degree in Computer System Engineering he always had a strong calling for dance which he held dear to his heart as a hobby.
He began his dancing career in April 2014 at an Intermediate level competing at the Capezio Kiwi Classic Competition where he placed 1st in Freestyle Salsa. In November 2014 he competed and placed 1st in Intermediate Adult Freestyle Salsa at the New Zealand Salsa Open. In 2015 he competed in Salsa Advanced Freestyle at the Capezio Kiwi Classic Competition and was placed 2nd.
Consistently willing to grow as a dancer, challenging himself by entering c complex categories to significantly improve his level of dance, Alberto entered the New Zealand Salsa Open in November 2015 at an Amateur level and was placed 2nd in Salsa Couple Amateur.
He then challenged himself with a new dance style and his efforts paid off when he was placed 3rd in Bachata Couple Amateur, he proved his interpretational skills by also placing 2nd in the Adult Social Salsa Advanced.
Alberto competed in the Capezio Kiwi Classic on 23 April 2016 and placed 1st in Salsa Open Freestyle, 1st in Bachata Open Freestyle and 1st Place in Salsa & Bachata Advanced.
Alberto is seeking to improve his dancing technique and style in both Salsa & Bachata.
